Hikari Pearls and Jewellery

About our findings

Metal and stones – The majority of the earrings, pendants, and rings are in 18ct yellow and white gold and diamond set (if there are stones). Some items are available in 9ct (yellow or white) gold and the majority of the range can be ordered in silver (rhodium plated) with CZ's. Some few designs are also available in rose gold.

Prices – Please call us for individual prices or a current price list.

Style codes – All designs have a three digit style code so that they can be identified. Please go to the gallery and click on the design you are interested in. The style code should be visible when you hover the mouse over the image.

Gram weight and diamond content – The gold weight and diamond content information is visible when you click on a design. All diamonds are GH VS and very well cut. We take pride in the quality of the finish and this includes the stones that we use.

About our pearls

White or cream South Sea pearl – These are farmed in various places around the world, including Australia, Indonesia, Burma, etc.

Black or grey South Sea pearl – These are also farmed in various seas around the world. Predominantly, they come from Tahiti, Fiji, Cook Islands, etc.

Gold South Sea pearl – The rich coloured gold South Sea pearl is generally farmed in the Phillipines or Indonesia. Paler colours may be sourced from Australian and Burmese waters.

Akoya pearl – Hikari stocks Japanese Akoya pearl. This type of pearl was traditionally referred to as "cultured" pearl and was made famous by Mr Mikimoto.

Freshwater pearl – Hikari stocks freshwater pearl in white, natural colour pink or apricot, and those that have been treated to be black or grey. We try to source a higher grade of freshwater pearl so that you can offer a point of difference to your clients.

Threading

What we do – At Hikari, we are able to rethread pearl as well as other stones and beads. Please bring the item in question to our office so that we can determine the best method.

Price – Whilst we are able to provide a price list, the time required to complete a job differs depending on many factors. The most accurate way to get a quote from us is to call or visit our office.

Time – Most jobs are completed in one week. If the job is very complex or urgent we may require more or less time.
